The most notable feature of the wing box truck is that its two wing side panels can be opened and raised at 90 degrees, which is very convenient for loading and unloading cargo. Compared with ordinary box trucks, which can only be loaded and unloaded from the rear door, they cannot be loaded and unloaded quickly and efficiently. In order to improve logistics efficiency, both sides of the truck box should be fully open, and the wing box body can directly load and unload cargo from both sides. Most wing truck bodies are made of metal materials such as lightweight aluminum corrugated sheets, flat aluminum sheets, pre-painted steel corrugated sheets. In recent years, more and more box trucks are gradually developing towards lightweight, and manufacturers have turned their attention to new materials. Among them, fiberglass composite panels have gradually replaced heavy metal materials and become one of the most popular materials for box trucks. Of course, this also applies to the wing truck body.
Material Selection for Wing Truck Body
Among many truck box manufacturers, TOPOLO-TRUCK is the first to launch the application of fiberglass foam core composite panels and fiberglass honeycomb composite panels on wing trucks. We have developed PP honeycomb core, PET/PVC foam core sandwich panels, which realize the combination of lightweight and strong. In addition, the advantage of using fiberglass composite materials as box truck body materials is that the building cost is greatly reduced. Obviously, the former is incomparable to the latter in terms of production cost and production efficiency.
