Box Truck Roll Up Doors

Roll-up doors (also known as roller shutter doors) consist of multiple horizontal slats and are installed at the rear of the vehicle body. They are widely used in vans, refrigerated trucks, dry cargo trucks, and various trailers. Compared to traditional hinged rear doors, roller shutter doors significantly save rear space and improve loading and unloading efficiency through vertical opening, making them particularly suitable for urban delivery, cold chain logistics, and transportation scenarios involving frequent door opening and closing.

How Roll-up Doors Work?

  • Interlinked Slat Structure

Multiple aluminum or composite slats are connected by hinges or interlocking joints, forming a flexible and rollable door curtain.

  • Guide Rail System

Vertical guide rails are installed on both sides of the door opening to ensure stable and smooth movement during opening and closing.

  • Rolling Mechanism

When the door is opened, the slats move upward along the guide rails and roll onto a shaft or into a housing at the top of the vehicle body. When closing, the door unrolls downward in reverse.

  • Manual roll-up doors: Operated using a handle, often assisted by a spring-balancing system
  • Electric roll-up doors: Equipped with a motor and control system (switch or remote), suitable for large doors or high-frequency use

Materials for Roll-up Doors

Widely used on dry cargo trucks.

  • Lightweight, helping to reduce overall vehicle weight.
  • Excellent corrosion resistance, suitable for humid and refrigerated environments.
  • Surface treatments include anodizing or powder coating.

The aluminum alloy and polyurethane composite structure significantly improves the thermal insulation, heat insulation, and sealing performance of the door while ensuring structural strength by injecting or sandwiching polyurethane foam core material between aluminum alloy sheets. This structure is widely used in refrigerated trucks, cold chain logistics vehicles, and transport vehicles with high temperature control requirements.

  • Balancing Strength and Lightweight.
  • Excellent Thermal Insulation Performance.
  • Good Sealing Performance.
  • Outstanding Corrosion Resistance.
