An ice fishing trailer (also known as an ice fishing house) is a mobile insulated trailer specifically designed for use on ice-covered surfaces and snowy environments in extremely cold regions. It is widely used in high-latitude areas and countries near the Arctic Circle. It serves not only as a working and resting space for ice fishing enthusiasts on frozen lakes, but also as a thermally insulated living unit suitable for long-term stays, capable of maintaining a comfortable, safe, and stable interior environment even in harsh conditions with temperatures reaching tens of degrees below zero.

Innovative structural technology
- Say goodbye to cumbersome processes and achieve efficient assembly.
- Locking in Temperature, Insulating Against Extreme Cold
☑ Modular and Seamless Assembly
Abandoning the bulky design of traditional monolithic frames, the trailer body is constructed from a single piece of sandwich panel – the roof, side walls, and floor are all integral panels with no seams. We have the capability to customize large-size panels, allowing for flexible adjustments to trailer dimensions to meet specific needs. The modular design makes the assembly process simpler and more efficient, significantly reducing the difficulty of operation whether for mass production by professional manufacturers or for DIY enthusiasts building their own.
☑ Completely Sealed Technology
For extreme cold challenges down to -40°C, sealing performance is the core of insulation.
- The panel edges are fully wrapped with high-temperature resistant waterproof material to prevent cold air from seeping in.
- The trailer body joints use specialized aluminum alloy profiles, ensuring structural strength while avoiding metal-to-metal thermal bridging.
- All seams are filled with low-temperature resistant waterproof adhesive, forming a comprehensive sealing system that completely isolates the trailer’s interior from the extreme cold environment, laying a solid foundation for excellent insulation performance.
Choose the Right Materials
Build a truly cold-resistant ice fishing trailer
Choosing materials suitable for extremely cold environments is key to the durability and comfort of ice fishing trailers. We use a wood-free composite material structure of FRP skin and polyurethane foam sandwich panels, completely eliminating the drawbacks of traditional wooden structures such as susceptibility to moisture, deformation, and poor cold resistance.
Polyurethane Thermal Insulation
The polyurethane insulation foam core features an ultra-low thermal conductivity of 0.024 W/(m·K), delivering insulation performance far superior to traditional insulating materials. It effectively blocks external temperatures as low as –40°C, allowing the trailer interior to easily maintain a comfortable temperature. When combined with a heating system, the interior temperature can be stably kept between 15–25°C, ensuring reliable protection against extreme cold.
Weather-Resistant FRP
The outer layer is made of weather-resistant gel-coated FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic), which offers excellent low-temperature durability. Even at –40°C, it does not become brittle or degrade, while its high impact resistance ensures that minor collisions during ice travel or accidental tipping will not cause deformation or structural damage to the trailer body.
Internal Reinforced Structure
Reinforcement ribs are embedded inside the sandwich panels, further enhancing overall structural stability. This design ensures the trailer remains strong and reliable even under complex ice and snow conditions.

Chassis Design
The ice fishing trailer chassis adopts a low-profile integrated structural design with a reduced platform height, effectively lowering the vehicle’s center of gravity. This significantly enhances stability during both movement and stationary use on ice, reducing the risk of tipping, while also making entry and exit easier and safer. Optional removable skids are available, allowing the trailer to operate on wheels over ice or be towed in snowy terrain, meeting the needs of various ice-based operations and usage scenarios.

Chassis Frame Materials
High-strength structural steel (surface treatment: hot-dip galvanizing, painting)
- High load-bearing capacity, capable of supporting ice fishing huts, heaters, and other equipment.
- Affordable and easy to maintain.
Aluminum alloy frame (lightweight version optional).
- Lighter overall weight
- Improved traction efficiency and fuel economy.
- Naturally corrosion resistant.
